Dear Fellow Parishioner,
During the Lenten Season we abstain from eating meat on Fridays.  Due to the current crisis, some may not have access to a meatless meal nor fresh fish or seafood and so to that end, according to the provisions of Canon 1245, I am dispensing parishioners of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish in North Attleborough from this requirement.  Of course, if you are able to abstain from eating meat, it is advised that you do.  If, however, you are not able to do so at this time, you are dispensed.
Fr Jack and I both miss our interaction with you and remember you each and everyday in our thoughts, prayers and most importantly, when we celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
May your and your loved ones remain healthy!

Dear Fellow Parishioner,

We find ourselves in a most unique situation.  These are scary times that come with a great amount of uncertainty.  Today, for example, I was on the phone with a local florist who was inquiring about our flower order for Easter.  I don’t possess a crystal ball; I am unable to predict the future but since the Bishop has suspended all worship services indefinitely, I have a responsibility to keep things afloat and I cannot do that without you.  On the parish website there is a link to Gabriel online giving.  This is a reputable company (Armand Brunelle is a parishioner who owns the company and is both trusted and respected by the Diocese, in point of fact, they are encouraging us to use this company as we have the ability to get it up and running immediately.  I personally clicked the link, filled in some brief information, and within less than one (1) minute my credit card was charged.  Bank routing numbers are not accepted at this time only credit cards.  I urge, plead and encourage you to financially support your parish at this time of crisis.  As you know and as I know, small businesses and non-profits are the first to take an economic hit when something like this happens.  I thank you for your support of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at St Mary Church, Sacred Heart Church and Saint Mark Church.

A reminder that we have a Parish Facebook live page, enabling many in our community to come together “virtually” for daily Mass and upcoming weekend Masses. In case you missed it before, here is the link for that site. https://www.facebook.com/Transfiguration-of-the-Lord-Parish-North-Attleborough-106529317647894/

With prayers for your good health,

Fr. Rodney

Welcome to Transfiguration of the Lord Parish!

As pastor, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our family of faith.  We continue to build upon the rich tradition of countless Catholics who sought to build their relationship with God upon solid rock.  Wherever you might find yourself worshipping and praying: at Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Sacred Heart Church or at Saint Mark Church, know that the community of faith welcomes you and embraces you.

If there is anything that we can do to help make you feel at home in our spiritual community, please do not hesitate to contact the parish office which is located at 14 Park Street.  If you have any specific questions and or thoughts that you would like to share with me, please do not hesitate to contact me via email.  My parish email address is frrodneyccna@gmail.com and I am only an electronic second away.

Please know that there are many ministries if you would like to donate your time and talents.  Getting involved in the life of the community has a special way of making you feel “connected” to this special place.

Again, welcome to Transfiguration of the Lord Parish.  We hope that you feel at home as you gather to hear the Word of God and be nourished by the Eucharist.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

     Fr. Rodney
